The Etobicoke clinic opened its doors in 2006 as the 9th clinic in Ontario. The goal of the Etobicoke clinic was to provide an excellent standard of care of lower extremity pathologies through a multidisciplinary approach.
The clinical team consists of Jamie Pearson-Pedorthist & Kinesiologist, Colin McQuistan-Chiropodist and OHIP insured consultations with Dr. Vlasta Hajek, our medical physician.
Dr Eva Hajek, M.D., F.R.C.P. ( C), D.A.B.P.M.E.R. Rehabilitation and Physical Medicine
Dr. Hajek is a Physiatrist and has been involved with Walking Mobility Clinics since the start in 1997. She is an indispensible part of the professional staff and is highly experienced and knowledgeable in the field of physical medicine and rehabilitation.
Jamie Pearson, Ba. H. Kin, C.K, C Ped Tech (C), C Ped (C) Pedorthic Manager
In 2003 Jamie Pearson joined the Walking Mobility Clinics Mississauga location as a Pedorthist and in 2006 opened the Etobicoke Clinic, where he now works as the Pedorthic Manager. Jamie is a certified Kinsiologist, Pedorthic Technician and Pedorthist. He is a member of the Pedorthic Association of Canada and his certifications are held in good standing with the Ontario Kinesiology Association and the College of Pedorthics of Canada.
Jamie's expertise lies in lower limb biomechanics and pathologies, orthotic therapy, diabetic footcare, rehabilitation and atheletic injuries. Jamie frequently delivers presentations on these topics to local health care practitioners and to the family residents at St. Joseph’s hospital.
Colin McQuistan, D. Ch., Chiropodist
Colin McQuistan joined the Walking Mobility Clinics Etobicoke in 2007. Colin has worked at St. Peter's Hospital Wound and High Risk Foot Clinic in Hamilton. He has gained both knowledge and experience treating diabetic, arterial and venous ulcers, geriatric, neurological, vascular, biomechanical, sport and children’s foot problems. Prior to becoming a Chiropodist, Colin worked as a Pedothist for the Walking Mobility Clinics-Toronto Campus.
Ebrahim Maskan, D. Ch., Chiropodist
Ebrahim Maskan is a graduate of the Canadian Chiropody program from the Michener Institute and also holds a BSc. from the University of Toronto. Mr. Maskan has been a Chiropodist for Walking Mobility Clinics for several years and services the Mississauga, Downtown Toronto and North York clinics.

Physical Rehabilitation Therapy
Dr. Avrahami is a clinician, therapist and researcher with a unique combination of specialty training in physical rehabilitation, chiropractic, sports specialty therapy and biomechanics. Every patient of Dr. Avrahami receives a thorough examination, an accurate diagnosis and evidence based physical rehabilitative care.
