Walking Mobility Clinics, Pickering, is conveniently located at Brock Road and Highway 401. It is situated within the first plaza south of the 401 on the west side of Brock Road. There is free parking, handicapped parking and wheel chair access available.
Dr. Leslie Goldenberg, Medical Director B.Sc,, M.D., F.R.C.P. ( C), A.B.I.M. F.A.G.S.
Dr. Goldenberg provides OHIP insured consultations with a referral from your family physician. His career and expertise in the field of Lower Extremity Pathologies, Internal Medicine, Geriatric Medicine and Orthopaedic Medicine makes him an integral part of the professional and comprehensive approach to treating patients.
Alison Chow, BPHE, D.Pod.M
Alison completed her Honours Bachelor of Physical Education and Health degree at the University of Toronto. She then earned a Diploma in Pedorthics from the University of Western Ontario followed by an Advanced Diploma of Health Sciences in Chiropody/Podiatric Medicine at the Michener Institute for Applied Health Sciences. She is trained in the assessment, treatment and prevention of diseases or disorders of the foot affecting different patient populations.
Wade Krishnan, B. Kin (Hons), CK, C PED (Tech), C PED (C)
Wade currently works part-time as he is also a Fire Fighter with the Town of Pickering. Wade graduated from York University with a Degree in Kinesiology. He is a member of the Ontario Kinesiology Association, Pedorthic Assocation of Canada, and College of Pedorthics. His extensive experience and background in fitness and mixed martial arts are a great asset to the clinic.
Jeff Grimshaw, B. Kin (Hons), CK, C PED (Tech), C PED (C), Pedorthic Manager
Jeff has an Honors Degree in Kinesiology from Brock University. He is a Certified Pedorthist with the Pedorthic Association of Canada, College of Pedorthics of Canada, and the Ontario Kinesiologist Association. Jeff has an educational background in chiropractic and personal training.
Leah Sahadeo, B. Sc., CK, C PED (C)
Leah is a graduate of York University with a B.Sc. Degree specializing in Kinesiology. Prior to becoming a pedorthist, she worked in a multi-disciplinary clinic as a Kinesiologist, developing and implementing rehabilitation programs for motor vehicle accident patients. She is a Certified Pedorthist with the Pedorthic Association of Canada and the College of Pedorthics of Canada.
Diane Vigilante, B. Kin (Hons), CK, C Ped Tech
Diane joined Walking Mobility Clinics, Pickering in 2008. She is currently training to become a Clinical Pedorthist.
Diane studied at York University and graduated in 2006 with a BA Specialized Honours degree in Kinesiology & Health Science. During her university years she volunteered at a rehabilitation clinic and worked as a dance instructor. She still teaches dance part-time and has a keen interest in the injuries which plague dancers.
Dr. Daniel Avrahami, BPHE, DC, MSc, FRCCSS(C) Cand.
Physical Rehabilitation Therapy
Dr. Avrahami is a clinician, therapist and researcher with a unique combination of specialty training in physical rehabilitation, chiropractic, sports specialty therapy and biomechanics. Every patient of Dr. Avrahami receives a thorough examination, an accurate diagnosis and quality, evidence based physical rehabilitative care.
As with all our clinics, the goal is to create the area’s most comprehensive and professional clinic for the treatment of foot and leg conditions. The clinic houses a large on-site laboratory where custom orthotics and shoe modifications are made. We also have a variety of orthopaedic footwear, braces and compression stockings to suit your needs.
Our clinic coordinators, Kathy and Joanna, are very knowledgeable with insurance related issues. They can assist you in clarifying your eligible benefits, and are able to provide you with supporting documentation for your claim.
